Story:
A hi-fi technology with love, the story is about Karan (Harman) who is a happy go lucky guy and believes in living life according to his own rules, that makes him a brave and dynamic young man. On the other hand, there is Sana (Priyanka) who is a complete contrast, she is timid, sensitive and strongly believes that life must be lived on the basis of principles and rules. As luck would have it, they come across each other and sparks fly all over and in no time both of them fall in love. All goes well till Karan's uncle Dr Yatinder (Boman) comes out with a time machine that can travel into the future. Curiosity takes over the young love birds and they decide to be the first time travelers in the new machine and as fate would have it, they are able to reach Mumbai about fifty years from now but an accident happens during the process. The city is completely transformed and a complete revolution takes over Mumbai, meanwhile twists of events happen and Karan and Sana seem to be getting separated in love and life. All this apart, there is Dr Hoshi who is bent on hitting out at Dr Yatinder and his family and he gets his best chance too. What happens from there? Can Karan win back his love? Do they manage to get back to the present day? All this forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
It appears that the director tried to ride his luck by pushing more on the presentation than providing depth and quality to the subject. His narration was good and the presentation is mind blowing but then the script was a failure and the screenplay was so-so which goes against the film in a very major way. The saving grace for the film is the very high technical aspects which are worth considering. The music was effective, the camera was mind blowing, the locations and sets are magnificient and a special mention needs to be made about the dance choreographer who has come with some excellent moves for the hero. Special effects again were a real show stealer while costumes are totally in vogue. Harman Baweja is one man whose name needs to be noted, he is the perfect package for a superstar with the right looks, efficient dialogue delivery, incredible dancing and stunts and above all his ability to act. Priyanka on the other hand was top rate and fitted the role perfectly. Their chemistry on screen was good and sparkling. Boman Irani again looked good in the role of a scientist while Archana Puran Singh, Dalip Tahil, Sharad Saxena and others contributed their parts sincerely. The child actors did not have much to do in this.
Conclusion :
The film takes off with flying colors with some real good elements of romance, comedy and some really exceptional stunts by the hero. Added to this is the vibrant chemistry of both Harman and Priyanka that did the magic and set high standards for the second half. But then the second half was a complete disaster with presentation taking over and pushing the basic ingredient of story telling to a corner. Though the visual effects were good, it is the weak script that played the culprit and turned the film into a disaster. One cannot expect a blockbuster out of this but then it might take a while for it to meet its expenses. Better luck next time Harman, we know you can do it!!!
